Compared with traditional insect traps, degradable insect traps use an improved substrate combined with patented technology to offer a greener, safer, and more convenient pest control solution for agriculture, horticulture, and greenhouse cultivation.

Working Principle

These traps leverage the natural attraction of certain pests to specific colors-for example, aphids, whiteflies, and leafminers are drawn to yellow, while thrips are more attracted to blue. When pests approach the trap, they are quickly adhered to the highly viscous adhesive surface and cannot escape. This effectively traps and kills the insects, disrupts their breeding cycle, and helps reduce overall population density.

How to Use

 

1. Determine the Number of Traps:

For monitoring purposes: Hang 45–75 traps per hectare .
For pest control: Use 300–450 traps per hectare, depending on the pest population density and crop scale.

2. Select the Hanging Position:

For low-growing crops: Position the bottom of the trap 15–20 cm above the crop canopy.

For tall crops or fruit trees: Hang traps in the upper or middle canopy, in well-ventilated, sunlit areas. Avoid placing them where foliage may block visibility.

3. Installation Method:

In greenhouses: Thread wire or rope through the two hanging holes of the trap, secure it tightly, and hang it vertically from the upper greenhouse structure.

In open fields: Use wooden sticks or bamboo poles to secure both sides of the trap, then insert the supports into the ground to hold the trap upright.

4. Replacement & Maintenance:

Replace the trap when 70%–80% of the surface is covered with insects or when adhesiveness is reduced, to maintain effective pest control.

Application scenarios:Plastic greenhouse, solar greenhouse, orchard, garden, flowerbed, vegetable, fruit storeroom and so on.
